Main Event: Sunday
Team Veloz racers competed in both Junior and Open/ Pro class and took the field by surprise on Sunday as The Juniors Final was comprised of Micah Green, Connor Wagner, Jed Johnson, and ---------.
The four man heat resulted in a four man straw bail slam fest. All four racers went down as a congested pack had to steer undetermined lines at close to 45mph through the 90. The first racer back on his board was Connor Wagner, who led the rest of the course to secure 1st place in the final, Green would finish fourth.
Due to some amazing board control and athletic ability The Open/Pro division final would also the likes of Micah Green as he advanced heat after heat landing him through the extremely intense field of seasoned pro racers. The final was made up of Andrew Chapman of Canada, James Kelly of USA, Erik Lundberg of Sweden and Our Very own Micah Green.
The Racers were at full speed charging an official 45mph heading into the turn. Chapman in front, with Kelly in second, Green in third with Lundberg trailing ever so slightly in forth. Nearly halfway through the turn, Kelly began to slide and in so doing allowed the lighter Green to pass right through the middle executing a tuck that would land a second spot for Team Veloz in the Open /Pro class behind Andrew Chapman. James Kelly 3rd, and 2007 IGSA World Champion Erik Lundberg finished 4th.
